Nationally known for popularizing the concept of "One-pass Farming" by front mounting his roller crimper and planting at the same time, Levi is a farmer from Keota, Iowa.
He has been featured in farm magazines such as Wallaces Farmer, Farm Journal, No-till Farmer, and Iowa Farmer Today.
Levi has been an organic inspector and now consults on the topic of organic transition. He has been a local leader in conservation no-till farming using cover crops along with the practice of roller-crimping to armor the soil and sequester carbon.
He is passionate about growing and marketing specialty fruit crops such as Aronia berries and tart cherries through a business he calls Levi’s Indigenous Fruit Enterprises and has published a book of farm poetry touching upon changes in agriculture during his lifetime.
